Heather is absolutely amazing! It has taken a while for me to find someone I trust with my hair and I don't see myself going to anyone else for trims, Show more. Replied: Nov 5, Thank you so much! I truly appreciate you and am always here to help! Heather is one of the most skilled people I have ever worked with.
I am sold for life! I went in to get extensions and even while watching the whole process unfold, I was still left blown away and shocked by the result.
I enjoyed my whole experience! Ashley is amazing, she kept me informed about everything she was doing! I will definitely see her again! We walked over and saw a security guy waiting at the end and he informed us that the line was shut down because I was becoming too long and was a fire hazard.
It was shut down a few times. We went back to see if anything changed and there was a different security guy at the end of the line.
He told us that in about 20 or so minutes that he may open the line again when the line was past the EXIT sign. He told us to wait around the the area and he will announce when we can go back on line. That is exactly what we did. Unfortunately, after about 10 minutes of waiting, as soon as the guy turned around and walked down the liner a little bit, this group of girls decided they were going to run over and sneak on line.
This line was the longest line we waited on all day. We waited about 45 minutes to an hour. We finally got to the front and purchased our things. It was very frustrating though because I had two girls grabbing things and leaning infant of me acting like they were going to sell out in a second lol, even though there were TONS of brushes in the bins. I got six shadows to put in my Zpalette as well as nine brushes and the 35O palette for my manager, Yesenia.
After that we basically just sat down for a little bit, ran to smaller booths for quick items and then we were done around pm. That is pretty much my advice. Nothing too crazy but definitely stuff you want to think about while you are planning to go. I had so much fun and I definitely will be attending next year and more years to come. Also, I will be writing some reviews about products I purchased so stay tuned for those!
Thanks to my mom, I am finally attending this year! I am so excited to get some discounted makeup and also to finally have the experience of going. So today I am going to talk about the booths and products I would like to get my hands on.
A lot of people always mention the Sigma line and how it tends to get over an hour long to wait. They have one for just eyes and another tower for eyes and face.
The towers are such a great product and will help your brushes dry the proper way, preventing water from soaking into the farell of the brush and causing them to break. The second item I would like to purchase is the express cleansing mat. The second booth I will get on line for is Dose of Colors. I have never tried anything from doc but I have always wanted to try their products.
IMATS is the perfect way to try it because you can see and swatch everything in person. The 1 product I want is their liquid lipstick in Stone. The second color I would like to try to get is Truffle which is another popular one from them. If I cannot get one or either, I want to get Desert Suede. The last product I want to try is one of their eyedeal duos in the shade Pixie Dust. It is such a pretty rose gold color. Their eyedeal duos are so cool because its a 2-in-1 product.
You get a cream color base on the top and then on the bottom is a loose pigment to go along with the base color. Hopefully the discounts are good because I do want to stay within a budget haha.
Next stop, Inglot. I do have a pro discount with Inglot that I received about a month ago and still have not gotten around to purchase anything yet. I always here people talking about how great their gel liners are so I would like to pick up their gel liner in number 77 which is their jet black shade. I tend to use liquid liners more but I wanted to branch out and try gel liners again.
They also have a cool product that I hear a lot about online as well and it is called Duraline if I spelled that right? The only other booth I definitely want to hit up is the Beauty Blender Alcone booth. I recently through out my beauty blender because it was old and getting gross and decided to get the Real Techniques sponge for the time being until IMATS. So that is a deal I cannot pass up! This used to be the second booth but after really thinking and planning it out, I decided that the only thing from there that I wanted were brushes.
I would also like to see if I can get some brushes from Royal and Langnickel. Specifically the brush set called, Love is Patience. I love how cute it is with the mint handle and purple farell.
Two of my favorite colors! Be sure to watch out for my next blog which will be all about my experience and helpful tips about IMATS to help you if you decide to go in the future! Hope you all enjoyed this blog and I will talk to you all this weekend! So March has come to an end, sadly. It was an awesome month for me with it being my birthday month and I turned 23 on the 22nd.
I feel so old. Still have to film that lol. This month I have a lot of favorites that I have used for almost the whole month if not for the majority of the month. So I am going to start with face products. It is a very lightweight primer and what I like most about it is that when you apply it and let it set in for a few minutes, it gets a little tacky which makes the foundation stick to your skin and last longer. I have it in the shade Fair-Light Neutral which is perfect for me because I have yellow and pink undertones.
Its weird but this foundation is amazing! It is water based so it is very lightweight but also has great coverage. I prefer to use this foundation with a brush to get the best application. I found that using it with a beauty blender or any kind of makeup sponge would soak up a little too much product, resulting in you having to use more of the foundation for one application. Also, I wanted to add that the applicator is a dropper. For me on a daily basis I use only two full drops to cover my face, but, if you like more coverage you can definitely build it up.
Next is concealer. Like the foundation, the concealer is water based and has a very lightweight feel. It is buildable as well but for a daily use I just draw an upside down triangle under my eyes with one dip in the product for each eye. I use the color Fair because the next shade up is a little too yellow for my skin. At the moment they only come in six shades but I am sure they will add more soon for fairer skin and deeper skin. Also, I wanted to add that this comes with a very unique doe foot applicator.
It is bigger than a typical lipgloss doe foot applicator. If you all remember those huge wonder woman collection lip glosses MAC released a few years ago, yeah they are that big in these concealers lol. I Love how this sets the face and does not give that awkward white cast in pictures. I used this to set my under eye concealer, my whole face and also sometimes I use it to bake under my contour. It is sold as a matte highlighter but because it is a very light pink color, I decided to use it as a brightener for the under eye area and it works great!
So essentially it is a 2-in-1 product for lighter skin tones. It is very lightweight and I blend it into the skin using a beauty blender or any makeup sponge before I apply my concealer.
And also, can we just say how cute the packaging is?! I LOVE it. I just love how it applies and how the end result looks. It is so creamy and blends in nicely without looking like you painted on your brows.
And you get a decent size for that price. Next product I am going to talk about is mascara and liquid liner. Honestly, I thought because it was so low priced that it reminded me of drugstore products and I would rather shop at sephora for the higher end stuff. But, since I started working at sephora and tried the products from their line, I realized how amazing their products are. Anyways, this mascara is amazing for volume, definition and length. It is an awesome product and very affordable.
Now onto liquid liner, if you watch my youtube channel you already know what I am going to say. The brush tip applicator is perfect for creating that perfect wing liner. It is so easy to flick the liner to create that line. Eventually I want every color! It is the perfect base for shadows because it is almost the same color as my skin. I love applying this product with a duo-fibre brush. This product truly does help my shadow last all day and prevents it from creasing.
Onto eyeshadows. I have two palettes I have always been gravitating towards. It contains 16 shades and 14 of them are heart-shaped, how cute?
The palette, also like the other chocolate bar palettes, smell like chocolate because they are infused with real cocoa powder. Sometimes I just like to smell it haha is that weird? Im sure I am not the only one. This palette comes with an awesome range of colors more on the cool side and they blend into each other so well.
And the other palette is from MakeupGeek. I have never tried any of their products and always wanted to. When I heard one of my favorite youtubers MannyMUA was collabing with them and creating a palette, I definitely wanted to get my hands on it.
And let me just tell you, this was a mission to get my hands on. Both my mom and I were trying on two different computers trying to order this right as it released. Then the next week, after signing up for the email notifications on this palette, I got to order it. Thank God! This palette is gorgeous. Some of the shadows are shadows they have in single pan form permanently and some are created by Manny. Trust me, this palette is so worth it. It is so gorgeous on the skin.
I love that is has shimmer in it so you know it will be perfect for summer coming up. But, I have been wearing it all year cause I love it that much. It is amazing! For highlight I technically have two in mind. I have these two shades in a limited edition palette which is called the Jaclyn Hill Champagne Glow palette.
I think Becca Cosmetics has one of the best highlighters in the market. Lately I have been mixing the two shades together and it is such an awesome combo!
Three more products to go! So now I will be talking about my favorite lip product. This goes back to Kat Von D. I am loving her everlasting liquid lipstick in Bow N Arrow. It is pretty much the new Lolita that everyone is going crazy for.
Especially on the darker side but this one I was recommended by a coworker of mine and decided to just try it on. Throughout the day I got so many compliments on it by coworkers and clients that came into the store. When it was back in stock I decided to just purchase it. It has honestly been one of my top favorites since then. Last two products are my favorite brushes. My two favorite brushes are both face brushes. The first one is from Morphe Brushes.
I love how dense it is and it is perfect for foundation. The next brush is from Real Techniques and it is their Blush brush. I love how soft this brush is and it applies blush so nice.
