How long is rex ryan contract

Johnson, who announced after the season-ending win at Miami that Ryan would be back, rewarded him with the extension and removed the specter of him heading into next season without a contract beyond this year. Ryan is in the regular season in his five years with the Jets. I've said all along: I'm glad to be a Jet. I'm happy to be a Jet.

That's never changed. Despite the extension, Ryan wouldn't necessarily be guaranteed to return after next season or if the Jets continue to miss the postseason. For now, though, the idea that Ryan could be around for at least two more seasons could help recruit free agents, and the Jets are expected to be a major player this offseason since they will be comfortably under the salary cap. It might also help Ryan with settling his coaching staff, especially after losing special teams coordinator Ben Kotwica to Washington and linebackers coach Brian VanGorder to Notre Dame as the school's defensive coordinator.

Probably not a dime. But that would be a surprise, especially in light of the ongoing financial issues at ESPN that likely will be sparking widespread job reductions for on-air talent soon. By establishing his TV chops, Ryan lays the foundation to make even more money beyond , when his buyout expires.

By remaining in the public eye, he possibly positions himself for other coaching jobs. He will receive payment after the three years are up. Or he has a contract that puts every dime into a retirement account which I hope he uses soon and gets out of our face. An obnoxious buffoon joining the other obnoxious buffoons at the worldwide joke of sportscasting. A commentators position may allow Ryan to excel at this trade. He always has a position and freely expresses himself. I think this is a good spot for Rex.

I wonder if he will be able to get buy financially? He may have to cut down on the number of snacks he buys. Other coaching jobs? The fact that ESPN thinks he is worthy of any air time explains why they are in a ratings downward spiral. That saves ESPN 5. ESPN loses subscribers a day.

Remember, those are the only two opinions that matter. Johnson has supported Rex Ryan for his entire tenure. Idzik took the general manager position knowing that it meant he would be working with Ryan and expressed no displeasure at that.

Do either of those two men have any intention of parting with Ryan any time soon? It is certainly a question to mull over. Be sure to follow Adam on Twitter to receive updates right away.
